Finally googled enough and discovered that you have to go to a random place on Adobe, download the program from THEM not Amazon and then enter your serial number to activate it.
So honestly I don’t see any benefit to purchasing this from Amazon – the discount is the same everywhere. But the program, once installed, is fine – it’s quite annoying that Adobe requires you to either buy a subscription or keep buying new versions, but that’s not really any different than any other software these days.
I cant find any true differences between this version and the version I paid the same amount for 5 years ago Amazon gives you an Adobe product code which is not a serial number. Strangely the old form that comes up through a Google search is no longer active, so I had to chat with a customer support representative to redirect me to the right website to verify my status as a student.
